On 26-th of May, In Baku was held a seminar-conference "use of copper material in architecture". The event was organized by "Armadil Group" and with the support of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan was held in one of the luxury hotels in Baku. Leading architects of Azerbaijan took part in this event.

First and foremost, the moderator noted that the Azerbaijani architecture is based on very ancient traditions. Since the ancient times there were constructions of numerous architectural monuments on the territory of Azerbaijan. Historically, our architects with professionalism, creativity and breadth of capability and an inexhaustible imagination, have left their names in history with golden letters.

From time to time it was used numerous materials in creating architectural monuments in our country. While creating a monument of architecture, the selected material has a huge impact on the beauty and glory of this monument. At the same time, it predicts the durability of this monument. In other words, using high-quality materials in the construction of buildings increases the life cycle of the building.

Most building materials do not withstand the time. Over time even the stone becomes corroded. But there are some materials that won every whim of nature and time, and retain their beauty for many years. One of these materials is copper.

In Europe, especially in Germany, for many centuries, copper material used in making architectural models. Thanks to this material, buildings which were built many centuries ago retain their original appearance until today.

PR Manager of "Armadil Group" Teymur Hajiyev said in his speech, that the company in our country specializing in the use of copper materials in architecture is "Armadil Group". In a short period of time the company helped create a lot of fine examples of architecture.

The company representative also spoke about the preference for the material of copper. According to him, compared to other materials, copper is a very durable material. The roof of the Church Hildesheim (Germany) was made of copper at the beginning of the last era. The copper roof of the Church retained its perfection to the present day.

According to Teymur Hajiyev, rain, snow, wind and sun are not able to ruin this material. When at first the copper has a golden color, then after a few days it oxidizes and turns to brown color. After some years it covers to a green patina. And the material dyed in a green color. Changes over time, the colors give a special beauty to the material.

Later, the word passed to the head of projects, business and export department of KME Germany, Herbert Mock. He spoke about the experience of Germany in connection with the use of copper in architecture. He gave information about the magnificent world examples made of copper.

Later, it was rewarding architects who have built excellent buildings with the use of copper in the architecture of Azerbaijan. The awards were presented in the following categories:

1. For the great support rendered to the conference - "The Use of Copper in Architecture" – Elbay Qasimzade (the chairman of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Azerbaijan)

3. For the use of copper material in creation of beautiful examples in the architecture of Azerbaijan - Nariman Imamaliyev.

5. For the use of copper material and aluminum in creation of beautiful architectural models– Togrul Ruslanoglu.

6.  For the use of different shades of copper to create a unique architectural models – Orkhan Alesgerov.

 The event continued with an evening banquet.
